Lura is a seasoned Executive Administrator who comes to GCAA with over 15 years of experience providing strategic support to C-level executives, optimizing operational efficiencies, and managing high-profile governance functions.

Most recently serving at the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association, Lura ensured seamless executive operations by managing complex schedules, financial planning, board relations, and high-level administrative functions.

Previous roles at George Washington’s Mt. Vernon, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, the Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S., and the U.S. Senate have refined Lura’s expertise in government affairs, corporate administration, and large-scale event execution. A background in Communications further underscores a talent for leadership, mentorship, and dynamic problem-solving.

Lura is a graduate of The University of Alabama where her oldest son, David, is currently attending. Her family is now living in the great state of Georgia. Her husband Dave works at the CDC and her twin daughters Lucy and Mary are freshmen at Blessed Trinity.
