Governor Announces Transportation Plan
June 24, 2008
Sorry I was late to the game on this one, but I was out of town during the announcement of the Governor’s new program.
Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue has unveiled his plan for transportation and has dubbed it IT3, or Investing in Tomorrow’s Transportation Today. The Governor had sat on the sidelines of the transportation funding debate throughout the legislative session and has recently decided to get in the game.
The biggest details offered by his press release include the purchase of new buses and an extension of the commuter rail from Atlanta south to Griffin.
For the rest of the details, follow this link to the press release offered by the Office of the Governor.
For some reason or another, the Governor likens his transportation efforts to education. Let’s hope this one turns out a little better.
